Shortly after arriving, he starts video chatting someone about how excited he is to be on vacation, while sitting next to me on the couch. We just went on our first weekend away together. For background, we’ve been together 6 months and I haven’t met Sue in person yet. I’m getting concerned about my boyfriend’s female friend (let’s call her Sue) and the closeness of their relationship. I'm happy for their success, but wish their podcast episodes were more like their bonus episodes Of course as their careers grow, they want to achieve their ambitions and goals that might cater more to a wider audience rather than their original fan base. Their bits were more relatable and didn't seem like they had to censor their thoughts. I mostly listen to the older episodes because I find them the funniest and the most relatable. I've seen many comments about this in the last year and how some segments/discussions on the podcast were "unlistenable" because they didn't know what's going on. Listeners only get their reactions with some audio. Unfortunately, in the last year they have stopped describing videos and visual media and just play them on the podcast. In their older episodes, they didn't play any videos unless the content heavily relied on its audio. Typically, they would have some funny reenactment so the listeners can be entertained. In the older episodes when they would talk about videos and visual media, they would always talk and describe what they're watching. Something I've noticed since the podcast began is how they talk about videos and media. I'm not arguing whether it's better, but I will give my opinion and wonder what others think. I'm sure we've all noticed the numerous posts of people giving their opinion on the current state of the podcast and I wanted to bring up something that I haven't seen be discussed yet. Lots of people here need to get outside and touch grass. This place used to be fun and chill but I think the pandemic has made people too attached to these islanders. In order to not get mentally exhausted from this subreddit, I come here when I feel like and when I want to see peoples thoughts on the last episodes I’ve just watched. Or how it was clear that Ekin Su and George did something in bed but because it’s Ekin (who’s my fav) it doesn’t mean anything and people need to move on. Like Tasha had been playing the fence with Andrew but all we can say is that Tasha is an angel and only Andrew is the cause for their relationship not working. Also, I don’t get how we can only criticize certain islanders here or else we’ll get downvoted to hell. Like come on it’s just a REALITY show, it’s not supposed to be that serious and we all watch for the drama. The think pieces dragging certain islanders down and psychoanalyzing had gotten too much. Agree with everything you’ve just said! I used to be subscribed to this subreddit but I had to unsubscribe last season when I noticed ppl were taking the show way too seriously.
